Auditory processing disorder evaluation

It’s a type evaluation offered for children and adults to check for the presence of an auditory processing disorder (APD).
What is APD?
APD is a disorder that affects the central auditory system with a normal peripheral hearing. This means that the child can hear well, but there’s a disconnection between what you’re hearing and what the brain processes. It can translate into difficulties remembering instructions, organization of speech, or understanding a verbal message.
APD can cause learning and/or academic difficulties.
