Auditory processing disorder evaluation<\/span><\/h1>\n

It\u2019s a type evaluation offered for children and adults to check for the presence of an auditory processing disorder (APD).<\/p>\n

\u200bWhat is APD?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200bAPD is a disorder that affects the central auditory system with a normal peripheral hearing. This means that the child can hear well, but there\u2019s a disconnection between what you\u2019re hearing and what the brain processes. It can translate into difficulties remembering instructions, organization of speech, or understanding a verbal message.<\/p>\n

APD can cause learning and\/or academic difficulties.<\/strong><\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
